Awards Presented at the National Board Mid-winter Meeting

Amy Damon-Grover Receives the Eastern Division Gross Memorial Award

At the Bolton Valley 2007 On-hill Refresher, Amy Damon-Grover was presented with the Eastern Division Gross Memorial Award for an outstanding lifesaving rescue during the 2006-2007 season.

Seven Springs Resort Presents Lifetime Award
Dick Barron, Patrol Director of Seven Springs Resort, PA, WAPP, presenting Guy Lombardo with the Seven Springs "Life Time Season Pass Award" for his 45 years of dedicated service to the Seven Springs Resort, the Seven Springs Ski Patrol and the NSP. This award has only been given to three others in all the years the Springs has been in operation.
Community Support Certificate of Appreciation Awarded in WAPP

Pictured above are Dick Barron Seven Springs Director and Guy Lombardo WSC WAR presenting a Certificate of Appreciation to Becky Lauffer, RN, BSN, Coordinator of the Westmoreland County Community College of PA for donating used AED Trainers to the Section at no cost. These will be passed out to the patrols for CPR training.

On July 19, 2006, we were advised that Mt. Wachusett, EMARI Region, has been awarded the National Outstanding Large Alpine Patrol Award. They had previously won the Eastern Division Large Alpine Patrol Award, announced at the Spring Officers' Meeting. Congratulations to Mt. Wachusett!

Division Outstanding Awards in WNY Region

These three distinguished gentlemen were the recipients of Eastern Division Outstanding awards originally announced at the 2006 Spring Officers' Meeting: (L to R) Al Hohl of Kissing Bridge received the T. Tyler Davis Outstanding Instructor Award; Jack Newall of Kissing Bridge received the Jerry Sherman Outstanding Division Patroller Award; and Jim Decker of Holiday Valley, and outgoing WNY RD, received the Don F. Page Outstanding Administrative Patroller Award. Congratulations!

Grover received a purple merit star for her life-saving efforts while visiting Stowe Mountain Resort with her family, while McKegney and Rainville received green merit stars for life-saving efforts associated with a motor vehicle accident on the Bolton Valley Access Rd.
