| On Saturday, May 5th, 2012 several awards were presented at the Annual Western Appalachian Region Meeting | |
 Guy Lombardo was presented a granite plaque for 50 years of dedicated service to Seven Springs, the Western Appalachian Region, and the National Ski Patrol by region director and long time friend Marty Silverman on May 5th 2012. Guy is the speechless one on the left. |
 Pat McChesney, Patrol Director, accepts the Eastern Division 2012 Small Patrol of the Year award on behalf of the Mystic Mountain ski patrol, Western Appalachian Region. Pat also received the 2012 Eastern Division Patrol Representative of the year award. The awards were presented by Region Director Marty Silverman. |
 Jerry Timcik was presented the 2012 Pete Snyder Nordic Patroller of the Year Award at the Western Appalachian Region meeting by Region Director Marty Silverman. Jerry is Patrol Director of Laurel Highlands Nordic Patrol, as well as the region Nordic and MTR advisor. |
