NSP-PSIA Cross-over Policy

2005 – 06 season

 

That PSIA-E invites interested current National Ski Patrol certified trainers in good standing to join AASI/PSIA-E with considerations given for NSP levels of certification.

 

In order to avail himself of this opportunity, the NSP certified trainer must pay PSIA Registered member dues ($91) to become eligible. Proof of current NSP membership must also be supplied at the time of application.  The crossover is as follows:

 

NSP Trainer/Evaluators with application signed by Keith Pomeroy (NSP Eastern Division Ski and Toboggan Supervisor)

ü      Pay PSIA dues ($91)

ü      Eligible to bypass Registered Member requirements

ü       Immediately becomes a PSIA Registered member

ü       Eligible to take Level I exam ($115)

                 

NSP Eastern Division Ski and Toboggan Steering and Division Staff with application signed by Keith Pomeroy (NSP Eastern Division Ski and Toboggan Supervisor)

ü      Pay PSIA dues ($91)

ü      Eligible to bypass Level I Exam

ü      Begin with Level II, Part 1 Skiing Exam

ü      Must send in dues check ($91) and Level II, Part 1 Exam fee ($155) at same time. If the NSP member is unsuccessful at the exam, he/she will become a Registered member and must traverse the exam process like other members. 

ü      Although it is not required, it is strongly recommended that the National Ski Patroller take a Level II Teaching Seminar prior to attempting the Level II, Part 2 Teaching & Professional Knowledge exam.
