Alumni Program

The goal of Alumni membership is to utilize the experience, knowledge and energies of those who would like to step back from active patrolling, while allowing continued support of the Patrol, Region or Division, extending to them the recognition, dignity, and awards they have earned.
This classification of NSP membership allows any member, with at least one season of membership, to maintain their relationship with NSP.  From a patroller who needs time to attend college or raise a family away from skiing, to a seasoned veteran patroller who no longer wants to haul sleds, this classification allows many of the advantages of NSP membership, without losing touch or having to sever ties with the NSP organization. This is accomplished at less cost and without loss of service time. You will not be required to fulfill any refresher requirements except to maintain OEC technician or discipline instructor certifications, i.e., if OEC refreshers are attended, you do not lose your OEC technician credentials. Additionally, you can continue teaching any area you maintain instructor status, for example, OEC, Avalanche, MTR, Instructor Development and OET (Toboggan instruction only).
